國營中鋼集團「賣台」！ 5年逼走逾300台灣船員
上百船員北上包圍經濟部 將不惜發動罷工捍衛工作權
民進黨執政以來一向宣示不會開放中國大陸籍勞工，國營事業更是避免雇用外籍移工，為的就是優先保障台灣國民就業權。然而，泛國營事業龍頭－中鋼集團旗下「中鋼運通公司（中運公司）」，本應肩負台灣鋼鐵產業關鍵原物料與鋼品國際進出口運輸的重任，如今卻透過境外公司，進用中國大陸籍船員與管理階層，直接取代台灣船員。過去5年已有超過300名台灣船員失去工作！今年7月起，為了逼退更多台灣船員，甚至無預警中斷超過百名台灣船員勞健保，更趁台灣船員人心惶惶之際，由中鋼集團高層帶隊飛往中國，向中國政府與中國共產黨簽約，自甘配合統戰！
在越來越多中運公司原有台灣船員工作權不保、家庭生計出問題的情況下，下週一（8月12日）上午，超過上百名中運公司台灣船員清晨出發、從高雄北上經濟部集體發出怒吼！要求經濟部出面說明：為何身為中鋼最大股東、具有完全主導權的經濟部，竟然放任這種『中國船員當寶、台灣船員斷保』、『中國船員先保障、台灣船員沒頭路』的現象？究竟經濟部是被中鋼集團所蒙蔽？還是實際上認同中鋼集團這種「賣台」的行徑？
更因為此一議題不但涉及台灣船員工作權遭中國大陸籍船員取代的問題，目前中鋼運通已有六艘關鍵船舶，轉由中國籍船員擔任船長所掌控的情況，更可能對台灣國內鋼鐵等重要產業發展與國家安全造成威脅。事實上去年中鋼集團更斥資加入「半導體供應鏈」，生產台灣半導體製程中所必要的重要產品。因此下週一上午的行動，除了來自各工會的踴躍聲援之外，包括經濟民主連合智庫召集人賴中強律師、台灣人權促進會、台灣勞工陣線等團體，也都將參與聲援，共同要求經濟部立即導正中鋼，保障台灣船員工作權、確保台灣鋼鐵產業關鍵國際運輸的穩定與安全！否則，工會和台灣船員絕對抗爭到底，更不惜發動台灣歷史上第一次船員罷工！

The ruling party has long vowed to prioritize local employment by restricting foreign labor in state-owned enterprises. However, China Steel Express has replaced over 300 Taiwanese seafarers in the past five years by hiring Chinese crew members and management through offshore companies. In July, the company abruptly revoked labor and health insurance for over 100 Taiwanese workers, further accelerating their displacement. Meanwhile, China Steel Group executives traveled to China to sign agreements with the Chinese government, raising concerns about political collaboration.
With families struggling and jobs disappearing, more than 100 Taiwanese seafarers will travel to Taipei on August 12, demanding answers from the Ministry of Economic Affairs—the largest shareholder of China Steel Group.
Beyond labor rights, the issue poses national security risks, as six of China Steel Express' key vessels are now under Chinese command. The company's growing involvement in semiconductor supply chains further raises concerns about Taiwan's critical industries.
The demonstration will be backed by labor unions, legal experts, and human rights organizations. Protesters demand immediate government action to restore job protections for Taiwanese seafarers and secure the stability of Taiwan's steel industry. If ignored, unions vow to escalate the fight—including first-ever seafarers' strike in Taiwan.
